Welcome to Giant Robots Smashing Into Other Giant Robots — a weblog about development, business, design and technology — written by thoughtbot.
New Year's Resolutions
The new year is a great time to reflect on the year going and plan for the year coming.
Regarding Information Technology, going over what you had hoped to accomplish in the previous year, reflecting on what was successfull and what was not can help you set realistic goals for the new year.
However, when doing this planning, keep in mind the principle that there is no one problem, and no one fix.
In addition, I recommend you don’t get bogged down in details, you’ll never get anything done that way. By freeing your mind of the details and thinking strategically, you’ll put a better plan in place to begin with.
Of course, you have to make sure that you don’t overlook an important detail that kills you later on. But thats a subject for a later post.
